The British Fashion Awards 2008, supported by Swarovski, will take place on November 25 at Lawrence Hall, Westminster in London.
The awards, which are run by the British Fashion Council, are expected to attract more than 500 industry leaders, celebrities, designers, retailers, models and journalists to celebrate the best of British fashion.
Nominations and judging in the main categories, including the British Designer of the Year Award, is done by experts from across the fashion industry including directors, editors and retailers.
British Fashion Council chief executive Hilary Riva said: "British Fashion Award winners demonstrate excellence throughout the year in one of the world's most competitive industries. British designers are known internationally to be the most exciting and creative, the Awards recognise the best of these extraordinary talents."
Last years winners included Stella McCartney for designer of the year and Christopher Kane for best new designer. The outstanding achievement in fashion design award went to Dame Vivienne Westwood.
