Bubble London said that visitor numbers to its kidswear tradeshow have increased by 1.4%, compared to the same season last year.
The figures for the show, which took place from June 17-18 at Islington’s Business Design Centre, are in contrast to last year when footfall jumped by 9% year on year.
Over 250 brands showed at Bubble, with almost 80 brands making their show debut.
According to Bubble London, kidswear buyers reported that they were particularly interested in sourcing labels offering one-of-a-kind products to help give them a competitive edge.
This summer’s exhibition saw the launch of Bubble Homegrown, which endorses labels that design and manufacture in the UK, including Isossy Children, Grubbies and Organics for Kids.
Organic kidswear label Indikidual won the prize for the most creative stand in Bubble’s Stand Out competition.
The autumn 13 edition of Bubble will take place on January 27-28 2013 at the Business Design Centre.
