Bubble show pops up in London

US kidswear show Bubble will launch a London edition next January.
Bubble, which made its debut four seasons ago in New York, will take place at Olympia 2 in west London on January 22-23, sandwiched between Pitti Bimbo in Florence and Premier Kids in Birmingham.

The show has 60 confirmed exhibitors for the autumn 08 edition, including UK brands I Love Gorgeous, Loopy and Caramel, and Danish brand Katvig (pictured) as well as brands from Spain, France, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Belgium and the US.

The most recent New York edition of Bubble, which took place in July, had 100 exhibitors and attracted more than 1,100 international visitors.

The show’s organisers Florence Rolando and Vanessa Boz decided to launch the show in the UK to address the “under-served market”.

Michael McGonigle, owner of boyswear brand Ollie, which exhibits at Pitti Bimbo and Premier Kids, welcomed Bubble to the European show calendar. “The UK kidswear market needs a breath of fresh air and more vibrancy injected into its trade fairs,” he said.

The next edition of Pitti Bimbo in Florence takes place on January 18-20, while Premier Kids runs from January 27-29.
