Burberry creates senior vice president of marketing role

Burberry has promoted Sarah Manley to senior vice president of marketing and communications.

Manley has been at Burberry for more than seven years. Most recently she was senior vice president of PR and communications.

Manley's new expanded role will include her overseeing all commercial aspects of global marketing, advertising, fashion and business PR, events and internal communication.

Manley will report directly to Burberry chief executive Angela Ahrendts.

Manley has also worked at Polo Ralph Lauren and Yves Saint Laurent in marketing, media and PR roles.
