Burberry has opened its first store in Qatar in the Middle East and revamped its store in Beverly Hills, California.
Burberry’s new 4,400sq ft store in the Villagio Shopping Mall in Qatari capital Doha stocks Burberry Prorsum and Burberry ready-to-wear for men and women.
Meanwhile, the UK luxury brand’s overhaul of its 7,400sq ft store in Beverly Hills is in line with creative director Christopher Bailey’s new store concept.
The storefit includes furniture designed by Bailey, a black and chrome colour scheme with the iconic Burberry check, and Venetian plaster walls.
The store, on Wilshire Boulevard, stocks Burberry ready-to-wear ranges, Burberry Prorsum and Burberry London.
Burberry’s sales for the first half of the year rose 13% on an underlying basis to £539 million.
Retail sales climbed 14% to £245m for the six months to September 30, thanks to supply chain improvements. Burberry said innovation in outerwear and accessories also helped drive sales.
