Burberry rejected Coach takeover approaches

Burberry has reportedly rejected multiple takeover approaches from US premium lifestyle brand Coach in recent months.

Talks are no longer active between the companies and that is not expected to change in the near future, sources told the Financial Times. Burberry and Coach declined to comment to the newspaper.

A deal would have created a group with a market value above $20bn (£15.75bn), bringing together the US group’s accessories, ready-to-wear and footwear firm Stuart Weitzman with Burberry’s luxury clothing and global retail footprint.
