Burton and Ann Summers are among the latest retailers to pursue opportunities in the athleisure market, debuting activewear and loungewear ranges.
Arcadia Group-owned menswear retailer Burton has launched a 58-piece collection called HIIT, featuring indoor and outdoor exercise clothing as well as leisurewear. Its marketing campaign is fronted by reality television celebrity Josh Patterson.
Retail prices start at £12 for a stretch T-shirt and go up to £55 for outerwear. It is stocked by Zalando and Asos, as well as Burton.
Meanwhile, Ann Summers has launched a women’s activewear line, including leggings, tops and tracksuits, in selected stores and online.
Product features include wet-look material, “bold” prints, fishnet sports tops and trend-led slogans. Retail prices range from £20 for a pair of shorts to £30 for a long-sleeved T-shirt dress, in sizes 8 to 22.
