Burton web boss resigns

Barry Wyse the head of ecommerce for Burton has left the menswear chain to join web services business eCommera as director of marketing.

Wyse is to be replaced by Jay Swanborough who will take up the role of head of ecommerce at Burton.

Andrew McGregor, chief executive of eCommera, said of Wyse appointment: "Barry brings fantastic online retail experience especially in building online marketing programmes and his addition strengthens eCommera's position."

Prior to working at Burton, Wyse worked at Dell for 11 years in a variety of senior marketing and sales roles including online business management for Dell's Western Europe region.

eCommera was set up in January 2007 by Michael Ross, co-founder and former chief executive of figleaves.com, and Andrew McGregor, former marketing director at BT.
