The number of buyers visiting the 88th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence (June 16-19) has been up 7-8% this season compared to June 2014, according to early figures released by the organisers.
A total of 20,000 buyers are expected to have travelled to Florence, 8,000 of which are international. The number of buyers from Germany, the UK, Holland, Spain and France are said to be strong, according to Pitti Immagine, with those travelling from northern Europe up 50% compared to June 2014. Participation from Russia, however, continues to be in decline.
While numbers remain the same for Japan and China, Pitti Uomo has seen growth in the number of buyers from India and Thailand. Figures are yet to be released for the US and Canada.
Full attendance figures are expected to be released later today.
