Camilla Al Fayed buys Issa

Camilla Al Fayed, the daughter of former Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed, has bought a majority stake in womenswear brand Issa.

The label’s Brazilian designer, Daniella Issa Helayel, has kept a 49% share in the brand and will continue to run creative aspects of the company.

Camilla Al Fayed, who has taken a 51% stake in the company, will fill the role of chairwoman in charge of expanding the company globally and increasing its visibility.

The London-based luxury label, which Kate Middleton chose to wear for her official Royal engagement announcement last autumn, launched in 2003.

The brand remains a go-to dress label for the both the Duchess of Cambridge and her sister Pippa Middleton.

Issa will unveil its first e-commerce sit in the next few weeks. There are also plans to open a shop in London.
