Capsule Paris relocates womenswear show

The Capsule womenswear show in Paris, which exhibits brands such as Eleven Paris, Belle Sauvage and Antoni and Alison, is moving to a new venue.

The show, which has just held its most recent edition at Cite de la Mode on Quai d’Austerlitz from September 27 to 29.

But from next season, the show will be hosted at 18th century building Tapis Rouge, the inspiration behind Emile Zola’s Au Bonheur des Dames, which offers a glimpse of life in an early department store and the era’s emerging consumerism.

Capsule organisers said the new venue was “conveniently located…with an intimate vibe”.

The team added: “[The move] comes as a director result of listening to the Capsule community of women’s brands and buyers. While we love Cite de la Mode for the convenience and the view, we understand the need for a location in the heart of the city, to better accommodate everyone’s extremely busy schedule.”

The next womenswear show takes place in March. The menswear show will continue to take place at Cite de le Mode, with the next event scheduled for January 17-19.

The event takes place 12 times a year in New York, Paris, Berlin and Las Vegas showcasing both men’s and womenswear, as well as lifestyle brands and accessories.
