Luxury French label Carven is set to be the guest menswear designer at menswear trade show Pitti Uomo in June.
Guillaume Henry, artistic director at Carven, will present the spring 12 men’s collection at the show, with reports he is likely to present the collection in a runway format.
Henry is the latest in a line of high profile designers the tradeshow has had as special guests, with previous designers including Valentino, Jil Sander and Rodate.
Lapo Cianchi, director of communications and events for trade show organiser Pitti Immagine, said: “Carven is one of France’s historic labels and now, with Guillaume Henry as artistic director, it is enjoying a new burst of strength.”
He added Carven’s concept “harmonised perfectly with the general trend we are promoting at Pitti Uomo: a new, sartorial elegance and affordable luxury in menswear”.
