Casely-Hayford leaves Gieves

Gieves & Hawkes creative director Joe Casely-Hayford has left the business to relaunch his own label.
Casely-Hayford, who had been with the Savile Row tailor for three years, said he had decided to focus on a new men’s range for autumn 08.

The eponymous label, which is currently in production, will be launched in Tokyo later this month, with footwear in the pipeline for spring 09.

The designer, who is best known for producing international menswear and womens-wear collections, will focus on the Japanese market.
