British fashion and homewares retailer Cath Kidston has appointed former Mulberry designer Judy Bown as its new creative director, Drapers can reveal.
Bown is responsible for the creative direction of the brand and reports into CEO Kenny Wilson.
She is the first person to hold the title at the retailer since eponymous designer Cath Kidston stepped down from the job in November 2014.
Bown spent 18 years as a designer at Mulberry, Coach and Tanner Krolle before launching namesake luxury luggage label Bown online in 2007.
Kidston stepped down from the business as non-executive director in 2016, as previously revealed by Drapers.
Private equity group Baring Asia bought the retailer last year.
