Cath Kidston’s director of marketing, Sue Chidler, is to leave after five years in the role, it has confirmed
Chidler first worked with the vintage-inspired fashion retailer in 2011, and joined the business full time in July 2013. During her time with Kidston she worked to restructure the marketing team and build the brand’s social media presence.
Chidler is also credited with building the brand’s successful partnership with Disney.
Chidler will be finishing at Cath Kidston in July. The retailer stressed that her departure is unconnected to that of chief executive Kenny Wilson, who has left to head Dr Martens. Chidler and Wilson are married.
Wilson has held the top job at Cath Kidston since 2011, having previously also worked at Claire’s and Levi’s.
Commenting on her departure Chidler said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cath Kidston since joining the business full time five years ago, and I’m thrilled with what we have achieved during this time. I now feel that the time is right to move on and look for a new challenge.”
