Catherine Deane appoints group general manager

Bridal and women’s ready-to-wear brand Catherine Deane has appointed Colin Naylor as group general manager.

Naylor was most recently vice president of menswear sales and merchandising in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region at Michael Kors. He left the role at the end of 2016, and has since been working on freelance consultancy projects.

Before that, he spent three years at Ben Sherman as UK and international sales director. His wide-ranging CV also includes stints at Paul Smith, Diesel and Alexander McQueen.

Catherine Deane launched in 2005 and is based in London, with a design studio in Hong Kong. Ready-to-wear makes up 20% of sales.

Naylor said: “Catherine Deane is a truly authentic British brand with a unique design handwriting in both ready-to-wear and bridal. The brand has great international potential.”
