Chappell to appeal against Retail Acquisitions insolvency

The former owner of BHS, Dominic Chappell, is reportedly appealing against a court decision to put Retail Acquisitions into insolvency.

Chappell will appeal to the high court this month, the Mail on Sunday reported, claiming that £4m owed by Retail Acquisitions to BHS is not due to be paid until 2019.

On 17 May a judge ruled that Retail Acquisitions is insolvent on the grounds it had failed to maintain repayments on the loan, and Chappell, its main director, could be pursued for millions.
