Charles Tyrwhitt names new CEO

Charles Tyrwhitt has appointed Adidas sales chief Michael Stanier as its new CEO, Drapers can reveal.

Stanier replaces former CEO David Boynton, who left in December to take up the CEO role at The Body Shop. The company has confirmed that Stanier will begin his role on 5 March.

Stanier joins from Adidas where he was chief sales officer, having joined the sportswear giant in 2009 as chief retail officer.

Before that, he worked at Gap as vice president of its global franchise operations and marketing for a year. He joined Gap in 2007 as vice president and managing director of its UK retail and European franchise operations.

He was also European retail director at Timberland for four years from 2003, and has also worked at Marks & Spencer, where he was head of outlets and held various roles across its international division.
