Charlie Peel leaves Williams & Griffin for TK Maxx

TK Maxx has hired Williams & Griffin’s long-standing menswear buyer Charlie Peel.

Peel joins the off-price retailer as menswear buyer on September 16. He will report to head menswear buyer Adrian Edwards.

Peel leaves the Fenwick-owned department store Williams & Griffin after 17 years working in the menswear team.

Prior to this he worked at independent menswear retailer Baccus for eight years.

Fenwick bought Williams & Griffin, the Colchester department store, for an undisclosed sum in 2008.

TK Maxx and Williams & Griffin did not respond to requests for comment at the time of publication.
