Chatham Marine appoints managing director

Lifestyle brand Chatham Marine has appointed a new managing director to re-establish the brand after being acquired by the Stuart Marsh Group last year.

Prabhu Kashap has been appointed managing director of the UK based manufacturer of marine-inspired footwear and leisure clothing.

Kashap was previously managing director of Ted Baker footwear, head of international business for Kickers, and marketing director at comfort brand Scholl.

Chatham Marine, established in 1992, was bought by Exeter-based footwear manufacturer Stuart Marsh Group last year. The group

Kashap said that the Chatham Marine business would bring a fresh approach to its product, sales, service and trade customer support.

"We are looking to re-establish and build on trading relationships with key retailers in the marine industry," he said. "New marketing, sales, service and logistics support, will ensure that the Chatham brand becomes once again recognised as a leading lifestyle option for retailers across Europe."
