Chelsea Stores snapped up by Mothercare

Mothercare has completed the £85 million deal to buy Early Learning Centre owner Chelsea Stores, but it does not include the three-store Daisy & Tom kidswear chain. One store is in the process of closing, while the other two will be retained by a current shareholder, publisher and printer DC Thomson. The acquisition increases Mothercare's portfolio from 225 to 430 UK stores.
