Chinese fast fashion retailer Urban Revivo is set to debut in the UK in March 2018 with a store launch at Westfield London.
The 22,000 sq ft unit will be on the upper level of Westfield’s extension in White City when it opens next year. It will be the retailer’s first store outside Asia.
The business has also set its sights on expanding into the US, France, Japan and the Middle East in the next few years.
Urban Revivo’s plans involve opening between 60 and 100 stores a year globally to reach a target of 400 stores by 2020. It is also targeting turnover of RMB10bn (£1.1bn) over the next three years, it said on its website.
Urban Revivo currently operates 160 shops, mainly in China. It opened its first international shop in Singapore earlier this year.
Urban Revivo specialises in affordably priced contemporary clothing and accessories for men and women aged 15 to 40 years, as well as children aged four to 14. Its lines include “feminine chic”, “masculine tailoring”, streetwear-inspired youth fashion and trend-driven accessories.
The brand introduces up to 12,000 new styles a year.
Property agent CBRE is acting for Urban Revivo and confirmed the letting.
Urban Revivo founder and chief executive Leo Li, who founded the business in 2006, said: “Our first global flagship store represents a new chapter for Urban Revivo and we are thrilled to make these first steps in London.”
CBRE senior director for central London retail Kevin Farrow said: “This deal reaffirms London, and the UK market as a whole, as a world-class leader in retail innovation and an attractive destination for brands seeking to expand their global reach.”
Westfield UK and Europe director of leasing Keith Mabbett said: “Westfield is delighted that Urban Revivo chose Westfield London to open […] its first store outside of Asia, in [our] £600m expansion. Construction work progresses well and the expansion will open in March 2018.”
