Christopher Kane named top Scottish designer once again

Christopher Kane was named Scottish designer of the year – for the fourth time – at the 10th annual Scottish Fashion Awards, which were presented in London last week.

Among other winners, Edinburgh-based Walker Slater was named Scottish retailer of the year and Belstaff won the luxury retailer category for its store in Prices Square, Glasgow.

Other awards went to Barrie Knitwear (textile brand), Hunter Boots (accessory designer), Pringle of Scotland (founder’s award), Topman (best use of Scottish fabric by an international designer) and Cats Brothers (young designer).

Charles Jeffrey of Central St Martins was named Scottish fashion graduate of the year.
