Clockwork opens fifth store

Northern Irish contemporary women’s and men’s wear independent Clockwork Orange has opened its fifth store.

The 1,600 sq ft store at the Rushmere shopping centre in Craigavon stocks the mini-chain’s usual mix of brands, including Barbour International, Farah, Lyle & Scott, Fred Perry, Nike, New Balance and Converse.

Clockwork has three other stores in Ballymena and one in Coleraine. The first shop opened in Ballymena in 1998.

Owner Will McCooke said: “We are trading very well and have great belief in the future.”

It follows the opening of Danish label At The Studio’s 4,400 sq ft store, which stocks brands including Jack & Jones, Vero Moda and Only, in the Rushmere shopping centre in April.

Centre manager Martin Walsh said: “Sales [at the centre] are robust, with womenswear and menswear ranges in particular performing well, and the majority of retailers recording a strong performance for the first half of this year.”

Savills Belfast acted for Rushmere in both deals and the tenants represented themselves.
