Club Monaco, the premium lifestyle brand owned by Polo Ralph Lauren, is set for rapid expansion in Europe with plans to open around 100 stores in the region in the next three to five years.
In February the brand signed an exclusive deal to supply premium independent Browns, marking the label’s launch into the UK.
It has now announced that Club Monaco is looking to further expand in Europe and will be launching corners in department stores in autumn. It will open at the Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Breuninger in Stuttgart and at Globus in Geneva and Zurich.
The brand is to focus on building its franchise business in Scandinavia, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Spain and Portugal and Club Monaco expects to open around 100 stores and 300 corners in the next three to five years.
Beverly Hill, vice-president of Club Monaco, said: “We can bring a different kind of fashion into the continent… Europeans appreciate the American style.”
She added: “We are looking to open standalone stores in cities like Paris and London, but our expansion strategy is centred on large-scale sales, partnerships and franchise. We are interested in making partners in order to be present in town centres, such as inside high-quality shopping centres.”
The brand is also expected to launch an ecommerce site in spring next year.
