US accessories and lifestyle brand Coach will showcase its first men’s ready-to-wear range on January 9, 2015, as part of London Collections: Men.
The collection has been designed under the leadership of executive creative director Stuart Vevers. The brand previously offered a limited selection of outerwear and seasonal items for men but said this range will be more comprehensive, with a strong fashion focus.
Vevers said the US brand chose London because the city is the “standard-bearer of classic men’s style but always encourages the next generation of talent”.
He continued: “Though Coach is American to the core, that juxtaposition is the essence of our brand: blending the established with the cool.”
Coach launched its first ready-to-wear collection for women for autumn 14, also under British designer Vevers. He joined the brand in June last year, having previously held the role of creative director at luxury leather goods label Loewe until 2008 and creative director of Mulberry from 2005 to 2008.
Last week Coach announced it has made senior appointments for wholesale and retail to lead the expansion of the brand in Europe.
