Exclusive: Coach to open first full-price store outside of London

Premium lifestyle brand Coach has signed on a store in Victoria Quarter in Leeds, Drapers has learned.

The 2,200 sq ft unit will be its first full-price store in the UK outside of Greater London. An opening date has yet to be confirmed.

Coach has three stores in London, on Regent Street, New Bond Street and in Westfield London. It has an outlet in Bicester Village, Oxfordshire, and concessions in Bentalls in Kingston, John Lewis in High Wycombe and Fenwick in Canterbury.

The 4,780 sq ft flagship store at 206 Regent Street, which was designed by the brand’s creative director Stuart Vevers in partnership with Studio Sofield, opened last month.

Victoria Quarter is owned by property developer Hammerson, which opened the nearby Victoria Gate shopping centre in October following a £165m investment.

For the Coach deal, Hammerson was represented by property agents Nash Bond and BGP. Drapers has contacted Coach for a comment.

  • Coach has confirmed a partnership with singer Selena Gomez. As the new face of the US brand, she will work on a special design project with Vevers.
