2012: A year in Burberry

With the end of the year fast approaching and the festive season rolling on, it’s an opportunity to look back on the highs (and lows) of 2012.

Drapers will certainly be doing just that, with our year in review coming up soon, and we’re not the only ones. Director Trevor Undi has produced a beautiful short film, compiling the top moments of British luxury brand Burberry from the last year.

From the opening of the new Burberry Regent Street flagship store this year, to the brand’s various advertising campaigns, to its autumn 12 and spring 13 collections, the three minute film compiles the very best of Burberry in 2012. Set to the soaring tones of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the film shows the development of the brand’s most recent collections from sketches to catwalk, with some behind-the-scenes shots of Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey hard at work. It’s a stunning reminder of the craftsmanship behind the favoured British label, and a testament to why Bailey made the Drapers Power 100 list this year at number 31.
