Drapers Follow Friday: Patrick Grant

In this week’s instalment of Drapers’ Follow Friday, group production editor Steve Draper tells you who he is following on Twitter.

Patrick Grant

Savile Row isn’t exactly a hotbed of tweeters, and if it’s a torrent of LOLs, emoticons and emotional meltdowns you want, you won’t find it here.

But you will find Patrick Grant, owner of tailor Norton & Sons, who puts his manicured Twitter fingers to good use by tweeting under the banner of its ready-to-wear line, E Tautz.

Well-groomed Grant is a bewhiskered man about town who conveys an easy charm as he chats about London restaurants, sport, gambling pennies on Cheltenham Races, drinking port, and his occasional bemusement in the face of modernity.

Of course there are also plenty of knowing comments and critiques on the essentials of gentlemanly style, and updates on his own collections. But taken as a whole, Grant’s Twitter output proves it’s possible to be both master tailor and master tweeter.
