The Berlin shows: a preview

We’re off to Berlin tomorrow to get ourselves set for the fashion frenzy that is Bread & Butter, Seek, Premium, Bright and Capsule. Once we’ve recovered from BBB’s big opening event, here are the things we’ll be most looking forward to seeing around the German capital.

What BBB’s second season of the Fire Dept at the L.O.C.K. section will offer up – last year was all about niche brands and was very heritage-leaning. With it looking like the heritage trend being on the wane, it’ll be interesting to see what direction the organisers and brands exhibiting in this area have taken.

Capsule’s new location – the Postbahnhof will be significantly easier to access and much more user friendly than Capsule’s last space, making a visit to take in the likes of D. S. Dundee, Norse Projects, Wood Wood et al even more compelling.

Seek’s catering – we know it’s very “unfashion” but we do love a good bit of catering and, if last season is anything to go by, Seek’s café should prove to be a good stop off point in between having a look at what Tom & Hawk, Universal Works, Vanishing Elephant and more have in store for spring 13.

What G-Star have up their sleeves for their presentation – last season the denim giant presented its collection through the medium of interpretive dance which was…er…fun so this season we’re hoping they’re out to trump that on Wednesday with a jean-based extravaganza to blow our socks off.
