Common People launches shop in Edinburgh

Menswear brand Common People has opened its first standalone store in Edinburgh.

Located on 46 St Stephen Street, Stockbridge, the 600 sq ft outlet will stock the brand’s complete collection and will also be the base for the Common People design studio.

The brand currently wholesales in 14 independent retailers in the UK including Accent in Leeds, Stuarts of London in Shepard’s Bush, Van Mildert in Durham and York, Cruise in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

It is also sold through international stockists including Isetan in Japan, Lane Crawford in Hong Kong and Steven Alan in US.

The move to a stand-alone outlet was designed to “take the brand to the next level” and as the home town of creative director Kestin Hare, Edinburgh was a “natural choice” for the label.
