Consumer confidence slips amid Brexit fears

UK consumer confidence edged down in October following concerns over a “hard Brexit”. 

Consumer confidence fell by two points to -3 this month, according to market researchers GFK.

The drop brought the index back down to a level seen after the June 23 EU referendum, according to The Wall Street Journal.

In September confidence had reverted back to pre-vote levels.
