Cotton Traders looks for new owner

Cotton Traders founders Fran Cotton and Steve Smith are understood to be in talks to sell the clothing chain.

The duo is in negotiations with investment fund CorpAcq, which owns more than 14 firms, over a potential sale, according to the Telegraph.

A Cotton Traders spokesman told the newspaper: “We can confirm various discussions have and continue to take place between both businesses; however, the nature of these discussions remains unconfirmed at this time.”

Cotton Traders was founded in 1987 and now has around 120 UK stores.
