Courtaulds label Chipmunks moves to London HQ

Kidswear brand Chipmunks, owned by supplier Courtaulds, is relocating its head office to London’s Marylebone.

Chipmunks, which is based in Knutsford, will move into Courtaulds’ headquarters on Portman Close in a bid to strengthen its international distribution.

The brand has expanded by securing stockists in France and Austria over the past year, and has appointed an agent to handle its German business.

Justin Taggart, commercial director at Chipmunks, said: “This is a really exciting time for the brand, and moving to London is the next natural step for us as we continue to grow.

“With a closer proximity to international buyers and suppliers we hope to grow the export side of our business as well as continue to build upon our UK success.”

Chipmunks is stocked at retailers including Debenhams, House of Fraser and Clinkards. It also operates a direct-to-consumer website.

Courtaulds also owns labels including Gossards and Pretty Polly.
