Crown Estate chairman to step down

Sir Stuart Hampson, chairman of The Crown Estate, will retire this summer after six years in the role.

Hampson joined The Crown Estate, which owns London’s Regent Street as well as a stake in Savile Row, in 2010. Since then, the firm’s profits have increased by 35% to £285.1m in 2015, totalling £1.5bn since 2010.

The Crown Estate is currently seeking his replacement.
