CWF expands concessions

Kidswear licensing group Children Worldwide Fashion will roll out its concessions to a further four House of Fraser stores this year.
CWF, which holds licences for brands including Chloé, Escada, Burberry and Missoni, will open four concessions in HoF in August for its DKNY, Timberland and Elle kidswear collections.

Floor space in the concessions will average 1,000sq ft, but the exact store locations are yet to be decided.

CWF managing director Kevin Thompson said: “The locations are dependent on HoF’s roll-out plans for its Children’s World concept.”
Children’s World also includes HoF’s Gap Kids and Hamleys concessions.

CWF has four concessions in HoF stores in London Oxford Street, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh for the Burberry, DKNY, Timberland and Elle brands. They concessions launched last autumn.

Thompson said: “HoF is giving kidswear a lot more emphasis and it is a key vehicle for our concession strategy.”

He declined to comment on whether CWF would add more labels to its portfolio in the coming seasons. He added that CWF was performing well and was in line with last year, despite tough trading conditions.
