VICTORIA’S SECRET Fashion Show in New York on Wednesday night was dominated by supermodel Miranda Kerr, donning a £1.6m bra, set with precious gems. CLARKS ORIGINALS has created a limited edition “Crown Jewels” desert boot, by way of tribue to the Queen’s forthcoming 60-year reign next June. The boots are made from premium suede and feature a bejeweled design over the ankle in a regal palette of gold and violet, priced at £1,952.

YOOX, the Italian online fashion retailer that powers sites for luxury brands including Valentino and Roberto Cavalli, posted sales of £10.05m n- a rise of 20.2% - for the nine months ended in September.

LAND SECURITIES, the UK’s largest commercial real estate company, has warned that retailers are at greater risk of failing because of economic uncertainty. According to The Telegraph, Land Securities said the forecast for retail was “challenging” due to a “larger than anticipated” and inflation-driven drop in householder disposable income.

FASHION BUSINESS CONCEPTS including a hybrid repair and customisation model and an approach focused on the complex structure of corporate companies were among the winning entries at last night’s Centre for Sustainable Fashion Fashioning the Future Awards. A free exhibition will follow this weekend (Friday 11 to Sunday 13) at East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf.
