Daks appoints new managing director

British tailoring brand Daks has appointed John Suirdale as its new managing director with immediate effect.

Suirdale has a long history in the footwear and branded clothing industries having held senior management positions at Burberry, Alfred Dunhill and footwear supplier Lambert Howarth, where he was group supply chain director. He has also worked as an independent brand consultant.

Naruki Shinke, who has been in the managing director position since October 2007, will remain on the board.
