Daks head of retail resigns

Rebecca Wilson has resigned as head of retail at Daks.

The Daks retail business will be temporarily managed by David Hewitt, ex-group managing director of Daks and currently a director of brand consultancy Molbel.

Hewitt returned to Daks as a consultant last year and has led a restructuring the organisation following the decision by Daks' Japanese parent company to enter into license agreements for its menswear and womenswear ranges.

Daks has three UK stores and around 50 stockists in the UK.

Daks managing director Naruki Shinke said: "We are sorry to see Rebecca leave and she goes with our best wishes. David Hewitt has extensive knowledge of both Daks and the retail sector and I am confident he will assist us in extending the progress which the band has made since last year."
