David Ward, managing director of Perry Ellis Europe, is to leave the company to pursue other interests.
Perry Ellis Europe financial director Bernie Keasley will manage the company in the interim. The company said a new managing director will be announced in due course.
Ward joined Perry Ellis Europe two years ago from Fred Perry, where he was global sales director. He replaced managing director Peter Abbiss who retired after nine years at the firm.
Perry Ellis owns trouser brand Farah and casualwear brand Original Penguin.
Perry Ellis international chairman and chief executive George Feldenkreis, said: “We want to thank David for his service to Perry Ellis Europe. He helped guide our European operations through a period of stabilization in our operations and transformation of our sales force. During his tenure, we expanded revenues for the Original Penguin brand by introducing new categories such as footwear, boxers, socks and accessories, plus the successful opening of our Covent Garden location.”
