Debenhams appoints digital director

Debenhams has appointed Charlotte Burrows, formerly of Estée Lauder, as digital director, Drapers can reveal.

Burrows joined on 1 May and reports into retail director Ross Clemmow.

Jo Young, head of ecommerce merchandising, Jigna Patel, head of digital marketing and optimisation and Paula Hassett, director of customer experience and operations, report into Burrows.

Burrows joined Estée Lauder in 2009 as an online manager and held the position of director of online for the UK and Ireland for three years, where she was responsible for 14 brand websites and the company’s online relationships with major retailers.
