Debenhams appoints new property director

Debenhams has appointed Clive Bentley as property director.

Bentley joins the retailer on 1 December and will report into CFO Rachel Osborne. He replaces Rob Hadfield, who will leave his role as director of group property on 14 December.

Bentley has worked in retail and leisure for 25 years and was previously global property and commercial director for Costa Coffee, and held roles at fast-food chains Eat and Prezzo.

Debenhams CEO Sergio Bucher, said: “Bentley will bring a wealth of experience as we transform our property portfolio and work with landlords to redefine a new future for our store estate. Clive will play a key role in this process.”
