Debenhams retail director Mike Goring to leave

Debenhams retail director Mike Goring is to leave the business as it merges its store and online teams.

Goring joined from BHS in January 2012 and will leave at the start of next month.

Ross Clemmow, who is currently Debenhams’ ecommerce director, will become retail director for the UK and Ireland.

David Smith will join the busines as international director on May 3, from his role as managing director of Body Shop Asia Pacific.

Marketing director Richard Cristofoli will also take on additional responsibilities for digital design and creative, online photography, editorial content and print services as a result of the changes.

A Debenhams spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that Mike Goring has decided to leave Debenhams after four years as retail director. His contribution has been greatly valued and he leaves retail in great shape. We wish Mike much success for the future.”
