Debenhams shuts Folkestone store after flooding

Debenhams’ store in Folkestone, Kent has shut for a number of days in the wake of flood damage caused by the “Beast from the East” and Storm Emma.

The Sandgate Road store has put up a sign, according to Kent Live, which reads: “Due to flood damage this store is closed.” The store is expected to reopen tomorrow morning (6 March).

A burst water pipe caused the flood damage. It is thought there has been minimal damage to stock.
