Decathlon to open in Guildford

French sporting goods giant Decathlon has signed for a new four-storey store in Guildford.

Decathlon is taking 18,800 sq ft across the basement, ground, first and second floors of the building on a 15-year lease.

The unit is located on the corner of North Street and Leapale Road in the centre of the town, combining 13 North Street with a former snooker hall on the second floor of the building.

Retailers including shoe business Soletrader and accessories retailer Lovisa have recently signed for spaces at nearby shopping centre The Friary, which is owned by investment manager M&G’s real estate division.

Decathlon operates around 30 stores in the UK.
