Denim brand True Religion appoints chief executive

American denim and sportswear brand True Religion has appointed John Ermatinger as chief executive, effective immediately.

Ermatinger, who has been working as the brand’s interim senior vice president of global sourcing and production, replaces current chief executive David Conn, who is stepping down.

Ermatinger has previously held roles as chief executive of Tommy Hilfiger Asia between 2011-2013, president of Gap Asia between 2006-2011 and president of the Americas for Levi Strauss & Co between 1998-2000.

True Religion has two full price UK stores located at Westfield Stratford and Westfield London, and an outlet store at Bicester Village. It is also stocked by retailers including House of Fraser, and Yoox.
