Gillian Kent has joined the Mothercare board as non-executive director and will serve on the audit, risk and nomination committees.

Kent was chief executive of real estate portal Propertyfinder for almost two years to 2009 until its acquisition by Zoopla and spent 15 years with Microsoft, latterly as managing director of MSN UK. She is also a non-executive director at Pendragon Plc, National Accident Helpline Group Plc, Ascential Plc and at two private companies, Coull Limited and No Agent Technologies Limited.

Alan Parker, chairman of Mothercare, said Kent “brings a wealth of experience in marketing, strategy and business development with particular emphasis on digital transformation which will add great value to our board”.
