Discount kidswear retailer opens Nottingham pop-up

Chunk, the kidswear outlet which sells last season designer clothing from the likes of Harrods, Selfridges and French Connection, has opened a pop-up store in Nottingham city centre.

The 900 sq ft space stocks clothing for boys and girls aged 0-10 years, discounted by up to 80%, and will run until January 11, 2015. It will also house footwear from the business’s partnership with Hush Puppies, and an in-store fitting area.

Chunk was founded by Frances Bishop and Rachel Mawby in January 2014. It has two permanent outlet stores in Radcliffe-on-Trent and Doncaster and a transactional website.

Bishop said: “We chose Nottingham for the pop-up store, as the business was born here and the brand is well known, and we have received quite a bit of pressure on our social media channels to do something in the city during the run up to Christmas.”

Rates for the unit were negotiated by director of retail and leisure for FHP, Ben Tebbutt.
