The Pensions Regulator said Chappell did not hand over necessary information and documents it requested during its investigation into the sale of BHS.

Chappell will face three charges of neglecting, or refusing, to provide information and is set to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 20 September.

The Pensions Regulator is prosecuting Chappell for failing to comply with three notices issued under Section 72 of the Pensions Act 2004 on 26 April 2016, 13 May 2016 and 20 February 2017.
