Double Two brand director Geoff Phipps to retire after 45 years

Geoff Phipps will retire at the end of October after 45 years in the clothing industry.

Phipps is brand director for shirtmaker Double Two, where he has worked for the last eight years. Before that he held senior positions at menswear supplier Crowther, after starting his career with Van Heusen and Coats Viyella.

A spokesman for Double Two said: “The directors would like to thank Geoff for his significant contribution to the success of the company. We will miss his experience, humour and love of colour and hope he will have a long and happy retirement.”

Lee Bromley has been appointed as sales and marketing director and will succeed Phipps.

Bromely joins from Nottingham-based menswear brand Peter Gribby. In his new role he will work closely with Double Two’s head of sales Robert Wells.
